William C (Bill) De La Vergne Friday, 4/14/06 741pm

My dad AF (Real) De La Vergne was stationed at RAF Lakenheath during 1953-1954, and we joined dad in October, 1953 in Lakenheath (came over on the US B Butner)- Dad was with the USAF 3909th Supply Squadron and is deceased now, along with my mom. I have pictures of Lakenheath in that era, and am trying to identify persons and places - there was a pub called the Three Horse Shoes and was owned, I believe by the Gilliams (Gillians ??), and I have picture of either the daughter or wife Gilliam who was a babysitter for myself and my brother during this era (would like to know her status and status of the pub) - I would like to know if there were any old churches in Lakenheath besides St Mary's (by the way I was 5 at the time so memory very limited for sure, but do have vintage Lakenheath photos that I want to verify and share) - I would love to hear from anybody who can help me as I am trying to reconstruct my early childhood in Lakenheath - (I am now 56) thanks, Bill
