The Duke Of Gordon was originally constructed in 1836 and has since enchanted Royalty through the ages dating back to Queen Victoria and fiancee Albert's visit in 1861. In 1996 the hotel suffered from extensive fire damage and it was reopened in 1998 after a PS2.5 million restoration. The Hotel is situated in the centre of the Scottish Highlands. A wonderful place for all kinds of varied activities. If you wish to explore by biking or walking or perhaps fancy snow sports this is the ideal location. Road - Travelling north from Perth on the main A9 towards Inverness take the 2nd marked exit to Kingussie, turn left at the bottom of the slip road into Kingussie. Travel 500 yards and you will find us on the right hand side. Rail - Kingussie railway station is located on the main Kings Cross to Inverness Line. The Duke Of Gordon is approx 75 yards from the station car park. Turn left and we are right in front of you. If required, arrangements can be made with reception to welcome you at the station and transport guests and luggage to the hotel. Air - If you are arriving at any of Scotlands airports, arrangements can be made to transport guests to the hotel by car or coach.
