Birla Temple
This Hindu temple enshrines Lord Vishnu. Designed in the Orissan style, with tall curved towers capped by large amalakas. Its exterior is faced with the white marble & red sandstone with profusion of sculptures, idols, gardens & fountains at the rear.

The Tomb built in 1562 represents the love of a widowed Mughal Queen. It is built of red sandstone & marble in the center of gardens on the banks of river Yamuna & is outlined with water channels & fountains, reflection of Persian influence.
India Gate
This solemn monument was built in 1921 with light brown stones. It salutes the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War I. In remembrance of the lost lives the names of the soldiers are inscribed on the wall & an Amar Jyoti burns day & night.
Iskon Temple
This grand and lavish temple was built in 1998. The fine art paintings by Russian artists here depict lives and events related to Hindu mythological characters & also it boasts of a Robot, which was built especially to enact and preach 'Gita'.
Jama Masjid
It is the countries largest mosque built in 1656. The flight of stairs & its large courtyard are marvels of architecture. It has three gateways, four angle towers & two minarets standing, constructed of strips of red sandstone and white marble.
Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory built in 1724. It consists of 13 architectural astronomy instruments which show the movement of sun, moon & the positions of the stars. It also showcases a huge sun-dial in a shape of a right angle triangle.
Lodi Garden
These beautiful gardens were established in the 16th century. In the middle of the gardens is the Bara Gumbad and Sheesh Gumbad. The garden offers peaceful environs away from the hustle bustle of the city life.
Lotus Temple
This is an architectural marvel of the Bahai faith. The lotus flower signifies purity & peace, representing the manifestation of god, to the people of India.
National Rail Museum
It is a must-visit for those who love locomotives. It preserves the model of India's very first train a steam engine made in 1853. It's prized possessions are a toy train which runs around the museum, Viceregal Dining Car built in 1889 & etc.
Parliament House
Parliament house was made in the year 1927 & accommodates the two Houses of Parliament, Lok Sabha (House of the People) and Rajya Sabha (Council of States). It is made up of blocks of red sandstone & iron grill with iron gates.
Purana Quila
Built by Emperor Humayun in the year 1538 it a fort on the banks on river Yamuna. It portrays the account of bigotry of two great empires, the Afghans and the Mughals. The fort has four giant gateways, one of which leads to the River Yamuna.
Qutub Minar
This magnificent stone tower was built in 1192. The first three stories are made of red sandstone, the fourth and fifth of marble and sandstone. At the foot of the Qutab Minar stands the first mosque to be built in India, the Might of Islam Mosque.
Rashtrapati Bhawan
It is the official residence of The President of India with 340 rooms in an area of about 330 acres. The Mughal Gardens within the complex are a treat for the eyes and are open to public during certain periods of the year.

Tughlakabad Fort
Built in AD 1321 by Tuglaq Shah, the fortress stands high on a scraped outcrop of rocks. Roughly octagonal on plan with a perimeter of 6.5km, its 10-15 meters high rubble built walls are provided with bastions and gates at intervals.
