Hotel Denit is located in an old building that has been totally refurbished in the picturesque Gothic quarter of Barcelona- just a few minutes away from Paseo de Gracia and the famous Ramblas- which make it the ideal starting point to explore the city. Nearby there are important monuments- including the Cathedral- the Teatro del Liceu- the Boqueria food market and Casa Batllo- - by the architect Antonio Gaudi. Denit is also very near the aerobus bus to the airport and the main train and underground lines. The 36 rooms will cater perfectly for all the needs of a 21st century traveler. The architects of GCA have designed practical and welcoming bedrooms; without any excesses but- with all the necessary services to secure a comfortable stay. These include plasma TV- soundproof walls- WIFI connexion- iPod high speakers and batteries- etc. The style is bright and minimalist; mostly white and with an intelligent layout to optimize the space available. Above the bed heads hang photographs by the artist Carles Roig depicting original images of fish on a wooden base. The hotel has a very pleasant dining room where breakfast is served every morning. The rest of the day- guests can use this space as a multifunctional room to hold small professional meetings or gatherings. There is a very unusual sculpture by the artist Xavier Escriba hanging on the main wall that is very eye catching and gives the room a touch of color and vitality.
