St. Virguil Salzburg was build and ceremonially opened in 1976 as a house for adult education and as a hotel of the archidiocese Salzburg after the plans of Wilhelm Holzbauer. Numerous artists have been involved in the creation of the house. Some of them are Josef Mikl/ Peter Pongratz/ Karl Hartwig Kaltner and Josef Zenzmaier. Soon as second building was bought. The St. Rupert to expand the hotel accommodations. There are 28 rooms and another conference room located. In 1996 the hotel was extended with a conference center which holds an event hall for up to 400 persons and offers a light-flooded and gastronomical area. Each year about 1300 events with 40.000 guests take place in St. Virgil Salzburg.

The parc restaurant offers seating places for up to 300 persons. The banquet room with seating spacce for about 100 can be seperated from the restaurant and is the ideal location for closed events and celebrations.

The parc cafe with seating space for 90 persons including terrace and bar area is a popular place to meet during the evenings. The club room in lounge atmosphere offers the ideal surrounding for small private receptions etc or just invites to linger und communication.
