The Main Building is perched on the hillside in four acres of romantic tropical gardens with splendid views of the ocean and the quaint scene that is Portofino. For guests who prefer to stay a little closer to the village - the Mare Building is located right on the renowned Piazzetta - in the vibrant heart of Portofino with its famous pastel colored buildings lining the waterfront. It shares most facilities with the Main Building and has wonderful views of the harbor and the castle of San Giorgio. A regular scheduled shuttle service is available between the Main Building and the Mare Building - or the distance can be covered with a leisurely 10 minute walk. A former 16th-century monastery and later a private villa - Belmond Hotel Splendido offers elegant and distinctive facilities that include a swimming pool with panoramic sea and village views - fine dining indoors and al fresco - a full service wellness center an exercise room and two meeting rooms. Only minutes away on the waterfront is the Mare Building - with 16 elegant rooms. The Mare Building has its own restaurant - but guests in both buildings are welcome to share all of the facilities and services offered by the Main Building. Room service - concierge service and most business services are available 24 hours. Each spacious room has its own unique style and is splendidly furnished with only the finest materials used in the design. For guests who prefer to stay a little closer to the village - the Mare Building is located right on the renowned Piazzetta - in the vibrant heart of Portofino. With 16 rooms and suites - it shares most facilities with the Main Building and has wonderful views of the harbor and the castle of San Giorgio. A regular scheduled shuttle service is available between the Main Building and the Mare Building - or the distance can be covered with a leisurely 10 minute walk. The shuttle bus comfortably accommodates 7 guests and operates from 0900 to 1300 and from 1600 to 2400 every 15 minutes.
