Situated on the western shores of the Taiwan Strait, Fuzhou is the capital of Chinas Fujian Province. The historic seaport known as the City of Banyans has a rich history dating back more than two millennia to the Han Dynasty. The Sheraton Fuzhou Hotel is ideally located on the eastern side of Convention Island in the Cang Shan District, just a three-minute walk from the Fujian Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center (SICEC). We are only 8 kilometers away from the Fuzhou South Train Station, 14 kilometers from the Fuzhou Train Station, and 45 kilometers from Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC). Gather with those who matter and explore the sites. Two notable age-old structures worth seeing are the White Pagoda (Bai Ta), which rests on the slopes of Yu Hill, and the Black Pagoda (Wu Ta), which can be found on Black Rock Hill. Both offer splendid cityscape views. Stroll down the ancient streets filled with well-preserved historical homes at Sanfang Qixiang. Fuzhou also has some fascinating temples, including Xichan (one of the citys five major Buddhist temples), Hualin, and Dizang. Soak in the picturesque views at Drum Mountain (Gushan) and visit the serene Yongquan Temple. For an engaging taste of nature, visit the Fuzhou National Forest Park, one of Chinas 10 national forest parks. Head to West Lake, created in 282, to see the classical gardens and cultural relics at the Fujian Provincial Museum. There are many parks and hot springs to explore, too. For something a bit unique, catch a glimpse of one of the worlds most endangered species, and see the giant pandas at Panda World. Shoppers will delight in Fuzhous three treasures of traditional arts. Fuzhou is famous for its lacquer ware, paper umbrellas, and horn combs. Here, one will also find cork pictures and stone sculptures. And for a true taste of indigenous culture, attend a Min opera (Fuzhou drama).
