Each room has a unique personality that is reflected in the decor of hand-woven fabrics and hand-crafted furniture paintings and other decorations from the many indigenous villages in the region. The floors are made of traditional tile and covered by area-rugs that are also hand-made. Our restaurant features regional and international dishes of delectable tastes and flavors. Most of the fruits and vegetables are organically grown in farms adjacent to the hotel grounds. Savor your meal while enjoying a breathtaking view of Lake Atitlan and the surrounding volcanoes. The Hotels restaurant ambiance has been compared to that of chic California dining places. In tones of terracotta burgundy and teal the main dining room with terrace level comprises the restaurant. The bar cozy and home-like is adjacent to the restaurant and it is enhanced by huge windows wood columns a fireplace and mahogany with gold leaf side tables. As the hotel was being constructed an on-site wood and metal shop was built to provide not only the structural elements for the building exterior but also individual furnishings for each room. This shop is still in use and complements sources from around the region to supply the highest-quality elements appropriate to each dwelling. Our Botanical Gardens- Teeming with flowers of every description and color the gardens are a wonder on this part of the world. Over two hundred varieties of roses make up the Antique the Modern and the David Austin Rose Gardens.
