The Metropole Maison d Hotes rises in the ancient heart of Taormina- located on a peak overhanging the sea and contiguous to the famous Torre dell Orologio and on the other side to the main street of the town. The building of this historical hotel was built originally in the XVII century and it has marked the gold age of the Sicilian belle epoque. After more than 40 years of silence Metropole opens his doors to his guests in his new magnificent shape- contemporary design and classical elegance find the right balance through the rooms of this five stars luxury hotel. The flavours of the good Sicilian food and the amazing view on Taorminas bay will enchant all our guests at first sight. At the beginning of the XX century the hotel took the name Metropole and kept it until the 1971- year in which it closed down. The wise renovations have be able to show up the original architectural elements and to dig up not only some pieces of priceless value - like the ancient marble of the main stairs- the original plasters and the noble heights of the ceilings - but also the legendary and mythological atmosphere of which this place is drenched.
