Property Description
Completely renovated - the Hotel du Pantheon is one of the most exceptional establishments of the Left Bank - transformed into Les Dames du Pantheon- a 4-star hotel -by designer Valerie Manoil - Calm and chic-this hotel is a restful haven in the city - enchanting you with its carefully studied elegance - With a subtle mix of contemporary and vintage furniture - the 35 rooms over 6 floors all have feminine influences - some obvious-some subtle - Admire the breathtaking view of the Pantheon and the rooftops of Paris - with Sacre Coeur in the distance - Not so long ago a mini-scandal broke out in France about the fact that the Pantheon houses 72 great men and just two women - Way before that Corinne Moncelli had already chosen her own Dames du Pantheon by deciding to celebrate the women who dared - those who loved - the passionate ones - the women that decided to forge their own future - free independent women - The decoration was inspired by the lives of these women with discreet and poetic touches - Through a subtle mix of contemporary creations and original vintage furniture the 35 rooms over the six floors all have their feminine side - First floor -Les Cocottes- The 19th century was tough on French womens freedom - It inspired Emile Zola - Edouard Manet - Gustave Courbet and others - We wanted to evoke this mixture of love and determination found in the high-class boudoirs of the era - Second floor -Edith Piaf- The style of the 1950s and vintage pieces from the time have inspired the decor - Third floor -George Sand- the masculine-feminine sides of George Sand are evoked in these rooms- referencing her house in Nohan - Fourth floor -Juliette Greco- The freedom in jazz music guided our research for the fabrics used for the furniture and wall coverings - Fifth floor -The signares- African style- a joyous melting pot both contemporary and enchanting- Sixth floor -Marguerite Duras- the East guided our choices for the silky- colourful- refined interiors
