Less than 1 kilometer from the hotel is the Lago di Como motorway exit, just a few minutes from the Swiss border. Milan and its airports are approximately 45 minutes away. Near the Rhaetian Alps and lush hillsides, Lake Como is an iconic destination in Northern Italy. Its sapphire waters are surrounded by flourishing gardens, magnificent villas, and charming villages. The pier dedicated to boat lines is only a few steps from the hotel. Many of the lakes attractive villas have stood for centuries. Built in 1690, Villa Carlotta spans more than 70,000 square meters and boasts an impressive garden. Once the home of explorer Guido Monzino, Villa del Balbianello houses a museum devoted to his work. And the neoclassical Villa Melzi comprises a private chapel, statues, an orangery, and a Japanese garden. Several small borgos along the lake are worth visiting. Cernobbio is a short walking distance from the hotel, and Tremezzo and Bellagio easily reachable by car or boat.
