Surf the waves at Kuta-Legian Beach, or just enjoy the sun, sand, and sea. Play a round of golf on one of Balis scenic courses located throughout the island. Adventure seekers can paraglide off breathtaking cliffs, or take a thrilling skydive. Other options include mountain biking, trekking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, fishing, Jet Skiing, sailing, and more.For the Balinese, religion represents the single most important aspect in life. Learn about their rich traditions at one of many temples, such as the majestic Mengwi Temple or Pura Besakih, Balis largest and holiest. Surrounded by lush paddy fields in the center of the island, the artist colony of Ubud is another top attraction. Meet artists and craftsmen to learn about their skills, and visit Ubuds many galleries selling original, local artwork. Along the way, stop to wander around the sacred Sangeh Monkey Forest. Or take a scenic drive up the islands mountains to Lake Bratan to soak in the views and see its pretty lakeside temple. The active Agung and Batur volcanoes are also popular attractions.Just near our resort, both Seminyak and Legian are filled with small shops selling furniture, linens, jewelry, clothing, textiles, batik, pottery, curios, and household items. Look out for other local items, including coffee, vanilla beans, handmade soaps, bath salts, incense, and aromatic oils. After a day of exploring, enjoy a tasty barbecue seafood dinner, or sample some famous Balinese smoked duck (bebek betutu), Balinese satay, and roasted suckling pig.
