Situated on a 170-acre peninsula surrounded by the beauty of the Virgin Island National Park and seven pristine beaches, Caneel Bay is on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. With 3/5 of the island preserved under the national park system, the island remains the least commercial and most low key of the three USVI islands. This tiny Caribbean island getaway is only accessible by boat or ferry. Its beaches are considered to be some of the best in the world.
Nestled within Caneels lush grounds are 166 charming accommodations outfitted in casual luxury. Each intimate retreat has been thoughtfully decorated with natural woods, native Caribbean stone, hand-crafted furniture, commissioned artwork and richly woven fabrics. The resort remains purposefully absent of modern glitz and digital distractions, in keeping with tradition, there are no telephones or TVs in the individual guest rooms.
Featuring four restaurants and a coffee shop, guests have a variety of dining options to choose from without having to leave the resort.

Located at the northern end of our peninsula, the Turtle Bay Estate House offers traditional dinner favorites along with nightly specials. The intimate atmosphere at Turtle Bay creates a romantic setting. The cuisine is classical and creative American.
Caneel Beach Bar and Grill
The Caneel Beach Bar and Grill offers a family-friendly environment. Large TV screens show the latest in news and sports. The menu is filled with favorites, such as a hamburger and fries, salads and desserts. The sushi menu is available to order here.
Caneel Beach Terrace
Located adjacent to the main lobby, the Caneel Beach Terrace features open-air dining with a panoramic view of Caneel Beach. In this relaxed atmosphere guests enjoy buffet-style offerings as well as a la carte selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
ZoZos at the Sugar Mill
High atop the 18th-century sugar mill ruins, overlooking Caneel Bay with St. Thomas on the horizon, Zozos Ristorante offers a menu of northern Italian fare presented by famed local restaurateur John Ferrigno and his team.
