Yogyakarta is also known as Yogya, Yogja, Djokdja, Jogja, Jogya, Jogjakarta, and Djokjakarta due to its rich history. This city is home to numerous attractions, such as centuries-old temples, heritage sites, arts, crafts, and culinary delights. Natural beauty is also abundant, from Mount Merapi to gorgeous beaches to green landscapes.
Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites—Borobudur and Prambanan temples—are just a quick drive from the resort. Many other structures of historical significance, such as the Sultans palace, Taman Sari Water Castle, and Ratu Boko, are nearby. Yogyakarta also has dozens of museums and art galleries.
Local cultural attractions include the Ramayana ballet show and the Wayang puppet show. At night youll find a variety of bars, pubs, lounges, and clubs in the city.
In addition to seeing the sights, be sure to shop at the galleries and markets in the neighborhood, or take a leisurely walk along Malioboro Street, which can easily be reached with our complimentary shuttle service.
Sports and outdoors enthusiasts have plenty of ways to stay active. There are three 18-hole golf courses: Adisucipto Golf Course, just 5 minutes from the hotel; Merapi Golf, on the slope of the volcano; and Borobudur International Golf & Country Club in Magelang, in the valley of Mount Tidar. Volcano trekking, cliff climbing, cycling, caving, rafting, and kayaking also await anyone with a sense of adventure.
