Yokohama is a major business district and home to a range of international automotive, pharmaceutical, and service industry companies. The Marine Tower located about 10 minutes by train from Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers, was built in 1958 for the 100th Anniversary monument of Yokohama port opening. Standing at 106 meters the lattice tower has an observatory deck, and provides great views of Yokohama Bay and Mt Fuji. It is also recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest lighthouse in the world. Close to Marine Tower is the vibrant and active Yokohama Chinatown.
