    Restaurant Information
Restaurants  The Red Lion Restaurant overlooks Hillingdon Village Green and St. John Baptists Church where the Church bells peel in the early evening & Sunday mornings. Built in the 16th century the low ceiling and beams are still evident today. (Charles I is reputed to have taken respite here in 1646 escaping from a battle near Oxford before joining the canny Scots, who later betrayed him). This air-conditioned and non smoking restaurant has a bright skylight and is ideal for meeting friends for a light and healthy lunch, as well as the more traditional dishes associated with a good English inn. In the evenings the soft lighting and candle lit tables create the right setting for that special occasion. Chef Peter Stevens offers a full a la carte menu as well as a very reasonably priced fixed price dinner menu, supplemented with freshly cooked daily specials. The Red Lion offers an extensive Sunday Brunch menu featuring traditional roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings, as well as eggs benedict and kedgeree. The Oak Room is adjacent to the restaurant offering private dining for up to 10 people The Pub offers Fullers finest quality ales, such as London Pride and Honeydew, the patio area overlooking Hillingdon Hill is ideal for a pre or apres dinner drink.
