  • Area Attractions

  • As a busy coaching village, many famous and important people have stayed in the village hotels over the centuries. Known visitors include Princess Victoria (later to become Queen), the poet Longfellow, the Duke of Wellington, William Webb Ellis of Rugby Football fame, and of course the infamous highwayman Dick Turpin. Today Dunchurch is a quiet 'bypassed' village and a dsignated conservation area with a lovely village green complete with stocks and maypole, charming 16th 17th and 18th centrury buildings, many of which retain the traditional Warwickshire thatched roofs. We are within easy driving distance of Draycote water, Rugby school, Coventry, Kenilworth, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford upon Avon, Princess Diana memorial Althorpe.
