Property Description
April 17th to 28th 2015, The hotel will undergo renovations to the main entrance driveway. Noise and guest disruption will be kept to a minimum over this period. Temporary arrivals area for the duration of the project will be via the Villa Reception area. Hotel will do all possible to ensure guest satisfaction. ---------------- The award winning Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa is situated in a gated residential community set on 10 acres of land. Many visiting celebrities have chosen this ultimate venue. This all suite hotel was home to Nelson Mandela as he wrote his biography- A Long Walk to Freedom. Many discerning travellers, including royalty, statesmen, Nobel prize-winners and best-selling authors have returned time and again to experience the unequalled qualities for which the Saxon has gained worldwide renown. Three Villas nestling in the lush indigenous gardens, comprising individual suites tastefully decorated with natural woods, silks and sustainable weaves are ideal for families. Each Villa has its own private terrace and heated plunge pool and two of the Villas also have a private spa suite. The three Villas add an additional 29 suites to the existing 25 suites. The Saxon Leading Spa and Studio offers all in house guest a variety of Signature Treatments as well as complimentary use of the Hydro facilities to all in house guests. The Saxon Spa And Hair Studio has been designed with the most up to date equipment and beauty-health and wellness treatments. The Saxon Spa is an accredited Leading Spa. Our Fine Dining Restaurant, Five Hundred and Chefs Table offers a tasteful dining experience prepared by our Executive Chef David Higgs. Dinner is paired with wines from our private collection by 1 of our 3 world class Sommeliers. The Saxon Restaurant, Qunu is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and offers international cuisine.
