Primarily built as a flour mill in the 1520s -the Gerbermuhle is -however -better known as the summer residence of J Wolfgang von Goethe and his beloved Marianne von Willemer -
Since the beginning of the 20th century it has earned a reputation as popular tavern and place of excursion -
