Tianjin, meaning the heavenly Ford is Chinas sixth largest city, which lies along the Hai Hei River on the coast of the Bohai Sea. Be a part of the Sheraton Tianjin Binhai Hotel community in this historic city, which has the largest industrial and trade centre in northern China. The largest and fastest growing economic sector in Tianjin is manufacturing. Important industries are: textiles, car manufacturing, petrochemical, mechanical and metalworking. Fishing and farming, particularly wheat, rice and maize crops, salt production, and geothermal energy are other important economic contributors. Great shopping is close by for you to take home a memorable and special souvenir. We recommend heading to see the colourful shops at Gu Wenhua Jie or the Antique Market, which sells silverware, porcelain, clocks and Cultural Revolution memorabilia. Other religious buildings to see in Tianjin are Wang Hai Lou Church, the largest church in Tianjin, built by the French Catholic Church in 1917; the Dabei Buddhist Monastery, the oldest, largest and most preserved monastery in Tianjin and the Great Mosque, one of Chinas most famous mosques, this four building structure houses many relics.
