Originally a quaint fishing village, in the past decade Shenzhen has grown into one of Chinas most populous and prosperous cities. Located in the southern Guangdong Province, on the eastern shore of the Pearl River Delta, the metropolis is situated just north of Hong Kong. Shenzhen's engaging cultural and natural attractions include famed heritage sights, like the Hong Fa Temple, Chiwan Tin Hau Temple, Dapeng Fortress, Tomb of the Young Song Emperor, and Xinan Ancient City, which is one of the citys historic treasures. In addition to indelible architecture, Shenzhen also features one of the most beautiful parks in China: the Lake of the Immortals Botanical Gardens along with Lianhua Mountain Park, Shenzhen Mangrove Reserve, and Wutong Mountain National Park. The citys many museums, galleries, and the renowned Dafen Oil Painting Village a tranquil artistic enclave comprising over 600 galleries and more than 5,000 artists exemplify its rich culture. Further, Shenzhen has some of Chinas most picturesque beaches as well as spectacular theme parks and golf courses, including the worlds largest course, Mission Hills. KK Mall, a luxury shopping mall is just steps from the hotel. General shopping hours are daily from 10am to 11pm. Meanwhile, a mere 30-minute ride from the hotel, picturesque Dameisha and Xiaomeisha beaches form the scenic shore along Dapeng Bay. Xiaomeisha is known locally as the Hawaii of the East, due to its sandy white beaches and lush tropical forests. Dameisha, meanwhile, features a captivating combination of soft sand and clear, blue water, which is ideal for boating and surfing. Standard voltage is 200 V/50Hz.
