The Epoque Hotel signs - Retreat in the heart of the city - because that is exactly what it brings its guests: a secluded luxury cocoon, tucked away at the very center of Romanian capital. The historic center, although not large and currently under renovation, is a charming labyrinth of narrow streets, medieval remains, elegant shops, antique dealers and traditional stores. The business, financial and cultural district are just walking distance from Epoque Hotel Bucharest. The quietness of the area is assured by vicinity of Cismigiu Central Park, special location for special people. The Triumphal Arch, erected during the inter-war period in honor of Romanians Victory in the War of Reunification and the Great Union. The Romanian Athenaeum was inaugurated in 1888. The building now is the home of George Enescu State Philharmonic Orchestra. The Royal Palace witch you can find in front of Athenaeum. The Royal Palace houses the Romanian National Museum of Art, with collections of old and modern Romanian Art. The Palace of the Parliament began to be constructed in 1984 on land obtained from the razing of an entire district of old Bucharest. The Village Museum is an open-air ethnographic museum located in the Herastrau Park showcasing traditional Romanian village life. National Opera House. Just 5 minutes walking distance from the Epoque Hotel Bucharest. The history of the Bucharest lyrical performance closely mirrors the evolution of the Romanian society over the last two centuries, more and more naturally integrated into the European civilization.
