The opening of the hotel took place in 2003; timed to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the founding of St. Petersburg. In 2008 the hotels room inventory and interiors were thoroughly reconstructed and updated with all rooms supplemented with safes; refrigerators and air conditioning.
