    Deichgraf  Reserve a table by the window with views over the harbour and canal. Cosy restaurant on the harbour set in a former warehouse from the 17th century. It's well known for its relaxed atmosphere. A good place for a quick lunch or a candlelit dinner. Franziskaner  Reservations recommended. The restaurant is always crowded. A typical Bavarian style restaurant serving authentic Bavarian dishes, and a mainly meat menu. A place to unwind after work. Gr ninger Brauhaus  There's probably nowhere else in the world where you can have your own barrel of beer on your dining table. Several rooms in the basement make up this original restaurant. The building itself dates back to 1750. Kramer Amtsstuben  Private dining rooms are available for small groups. A charming small restaurant in a traditional bay windowed house. Old Commercial Room  Great music from the 1960s and 1970s. The owner has a collection of over half a million records. Known since 1795 as 'the home of the sailors. Serves genuine north German cuisine. Famous for labskaus, a north German speciality of corned beef, potatoes, he Warsteiner Elbspeicher  It has a special beer and barbecue garden. A good place to watch the sunset. Old red brick building right on the River Elbe, with ocean liners passing by. Dialog im Dunkeln  Having paid for your drink, you can be sure to get the correct change back. This may be the most unusual restaurant in the world. A guided tour by blind staff through dark rooms ending at the bar in total darkness. East  Apart from excellent food, it's reputed to serve the best cocktails in Hamburg. A very modern restaurant and bar serving excellent Eurasian cuisine. Eppendorfer Grill Station  Good quality fast food and grills. You should try the sparkling beer. A local place serving local food. Live stage performances take place on Sunday nights. Great entertainment. Bobby Reich  Relax at an outside table and let time, and the sailboats, go by. This restaurant has a waterfront location with simple interior. Serves homemade dishes. Fleetschl sschen  A little hideaway with an unusual mix of construction workers and businessmen. Serves local dishes. Galatea  Dine with swans gliding by on the lake. A boat restaurant, slap bang in the city centre. Also well known for their excellent pizzas, baked in a typical Italian stone oven. Literaturhaus Cafe  The ideal place for a late, quiet breakfast when you've all the time in the world to read the newspapers. Fantastic, classic interior of tall rooms with beautiful chandeliers. Famous for its excellent pastries.   • Hamburg is the proud owner of the most modern planetarium in the world. The site is fantastic. It's right in the middle of Hamburg's central park, the Stadtpark. There is a variety of programmes throughout the day.
