The Shores Holiday Apartments is a 4 star self rated holiday complex located on the beach at beautiful Blacks Beach a Northern Beaches suburb of Mackay. The property is of solid brick construction comprising a total of 28 units. Single storey Villas and two storey Townhouses scattered within a large tropical garden setting. The property has a casual relaxed feel ideal for families couples and business travelers wanting a quiet getaway. All units are spacious two bedrooms and fully self contained. Bedding consists of 1 queen size bed in bedroom one and 2 single beds in bedroom two. Most units also have a double sofa bed in the lounge room so sleep a maximum of 6 guests. Some Townhouse Units only sleep 4 guests. Porta cots are available for hire. Townhouse Units have two toilets. One upstairs and one on the ground floor. Standard Villas are ground floor/low-set units located in the middle of the property. Beachfront Villas and Deluxe Villas are located closer to the recreation area and beach. Deluxe Villas also have the added luxury of spa baths as well as separate showers. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen. Large refrigerator - dishwasher - oven with four burner stove top - microwave. All units have a laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer. Units have open plan dining/lounges. Digital TV - DVD player - CD player - Ipod docking station. The main bedroom has a digital TV. Foxtel TV is available FOC and WiFi is also FOC in all units and around the grounds. Vouchers are available from reception for WiFi during office hours. The Swimming Pools - Toddlers Pool - Spa Pool - Tennis Court - BBQ shelter with electric BBQs - Volleyball Net - Picnic Tables and seats are all located between the units and the beach in a large open recreation area. Recent awards include Property Manager of the Year Finalist in the 2013 Accommodation Association of Australia Awards and 2014 Certificate of Excellence Award from Tripadvisor.
