The limestone crags, deep caves, and lush paddy fields in Chinas Guangxi Province have made Guilin an inspiration to poets and artists for centuries. The Four Points by Sheraton Guilin, Lingui is conveniently located in Guilins new central business district. Municipal government offices, retail shops, and a mall are just steps away. Guilins city center is only 6 kilometers from our hotel, the Guilin Train Station is 10 kilometers away, and Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL) is less than 30 minutes by car. Guilins scenic attractions are within easy reach. A tour along the Li River is not to be missed. Cruising along the majestic, sparkling emerald waters, visitors will pass by stunning mountains, fertile farmlands, quaint fishing villages, and bamboo groves. Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin and its abundant greenery, is another highlight, located at the junction of the Taohua River and the Li River. Reed Flute Cave is filled with strikingly colorful stalagmites, stone pillars, and rock formations. Visitors can purchase their own flutes made out of the reeds that grow just outside the cave. Diecai Hill, also known as Folded Brocade Hill, is another site known for its wonderful scenery, stone caves, and easy-to-climb walking trails. Seven-Star Park, located on the banks of the Li River and crossed by the Xiaodong River, is Guilins most popular park home to hills, caves, and stone carvings. For a taste of culture, visit the Guilin Museum or enjoy a traditional ethnic minority show. Surrounded by karst peaks, Yangshuo County is also worthy of a visit. Deemed the best place in China for rock climbing, the tourist town offers several unique traditional experiences, including cormorant fishing, tea ceremonies, and cooking classes.
