The BW Premier Collection Winchester Royal Hotel, perfectly placed in the heart of Winchester City Center itself, is ideal for short breaks, business trips and family stays. We have 81 delightfully decorated bedrooms to choose from, and we are the only hotel in the city center to have a stunning walled garden within our grounds, perfect for summer dining or enjoying afternoon tea. Our location and character make for a royally relaxing getaway whenever you visit. A former Bishop's residence and later a convent, the main part of the building dates back over 400 years and has been welcoming guests with open arms for over 150 years. We have probably the best location in Winchester, if we do say so ourselves. That secret garden offers peace and tranquility just two minutes from the main town center, so you will be nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Hampshire while close enough to enjoy all it has to offer. Close to the New Forest for cycling, with Peppa Pig World at Paultons Family Theme Park less than 20 minutes away, the whole family can enjoy each others company in wonderful surroundings. There is lots of history for your little maids and knights to discover too, with Winchester being the home to King Arthur and his legendary Knights of the Round Table.
