Hotel Hacienda Jurica, more than a thousand years ago, the place where the hotel stands, was discovered by the primitive inhabitants of the region. For its beauty and crystalline thermal springs, the ancient Tarascans called it "Jurica" which means, "Place of good health". In October of 1960, the Hacienda was destined to farming and the raising of cattle.
